Chapter 2 map returns with a twist
Fortnite has brought back the beloved Chapter 2 island, blending familiar locations from Seasons 1, 2, and 3. But there’s a fresh twist: The Agency has transformed into “The Doggpound,” now ruled by a new Snoop Dogg boss, adding a unique vibe to the battleground. Meanwhile, Eminem has set up his own base at the revamped “Spaghetti Grotto.” Players can dive into these revamped points of interest (POIs), mixing nostalgia with exciting new challenges.
In the coming weeks, a new version of The Shark location will be introduced, redesigned to reflect the arrival of the Ice Spice boss, who will spawn in this area. This update will bring themed elements that align with the new boss. Currently, there are 17 Points of Interest (POIs) on the island, three of which serve as boss spawn points. These boss locations are key, as defeating the bosses allows players to unlock vaults packed with some of the best weapon loot available in the game.
Swimming across lakes, fishing, and the return of motorboats now offer players exciting new ways to explore the island, bringing a refreshing change from the road vehicles that have dominated Chapter 5. These additions provide dynamic traversal options, allowing players to engage with the landscape in diverse ways beyond the traditional roadways.
Hip-hop icons take over the island
Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Season 2 focused on the intense rivalry between the GHOST and SHADOW organizations. However, the new season, titled “Remix,” has taken a different approach, bringing a more laid-back, vibrant atmosphere to the island. This season is all about celebrating hip-hop culture, with legendary icons like Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice, and Eminem taking center stage. Players can look forward to a chilled-out vibe, where music and style define the experience rather than high-stakes battles.
In the latest update, The Agency has been transformed into Snoop’s Doggpound, and The Shark is now Ice Spice’s hangout spot. The Grotto has been revamped as Eminem’s Mom’s Spaghetti restaurant, where you can even score a brand-new minigun. Instead of faction wars, this season introduces a unique twist: defeat a boss to make them your ally. You’ll get to wield their mythic weapon and unlock all the rewards inside the Keycard vaults.
Before facing off against the bosses, consider disguising yourself as a Henchman. You can do this by stepping into the Phone Booths, which are back on the island and ready to help you blend in. And there’s more exciting news: the Juice WRLD skin is dropping on November 21! Battle Pass full of remixed skins
This season’s Battle Pass brings a fresh take on Fortnite Chapter 2 classics, shifting focus from collaborations to reimagining fan-favorite skins. Players can now unlock revamped versions of iconic characters like Midas, Meowscles, 8-Ball, Guff, Skye, TNTina, and Chaos Agent.
These unique remixes include Meowdas (a twist on Meowscles), Chaos Director, Undercover Skye, 1-Ball, and Dynamo TNTina. With 50 levels to progress through, you have until December 1 to grab these exclusive skins by purchasing and leveling up your Battle Pass.
Return of Hitscan weapons
After a wait of over two years, hitscan weapons have finally returned to Fortnite with the launch of Chapter 2 Remix. Players can now enjoy the original Chapter 2 weapons, bringing back the ability to hit targets instantly without worrying about bullet drop or bullet travel time.
This means that for most weapons like the Pump Shotgun or Assault Rifle, simply aim and shoot to land immediate hits on opponents. However, sniper rifles remain projectile-based, so players will still need to consider bullet drop when aiming at long distances.
Cars, Choppas, and Lowriders to move around the map
Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix has introduced a nostalgic return of classic vehicles, including the OG Bear, Whiplash, Trucks, and Island Prevalent Cars. Additionally, Choppas are back, now available at various Points of Interest (POIs) around the map.
A major new addition to the game’s vehicle mechanics is the Lowrider Cadillac, equipped with hydraulics. This feature allows players to jump their vehicles high into the air, offering a unique way to outmaneuver opponents. There’s even a fun glitch that lets players spam the Charge Jump button on Hydraulic Cars, causing them to soar high into the sky.
New cosmetic item brings the drip
Fortnite has introduced an exciting new cosmetic item called “Kicks” (also referred to as Shoes) in the Chapter 2 Remix Battle Pass. Players can now unlock the very first pair of Air Jordan 1s through the Dynamo TNTina section of the Remix Battle Pass.
The initial collection of Kicks will include iconic brands like Nike and Jordan, along with exclusive Fortnite Originals. These Kicks are compatible with over 500 of the most popular Fortnite Outfits, and by spring next year, more than 95% of Outfits will be compatible.
