Apple launched its first product of the year, the iPhone 16e, on February 19 at a starting price of ₹59,900 in India. The device became available for pre-order on February 21, with sales and deliveries set to begin on February 28. Ahead of the official launch, Apple’s authorized distributor Redington has announced exciting offers, allowing buyers to get the iPhone 16e at a discount of up to ₹10,000, bringing its effective price down to ₹49,900.
Redington has introduced multiple bank and exchange offers:
However, the final exchange value depends on Redington’s evaluation policy, considering factors like the model and condition of your old phone. It is advisable to check your phone’s exchange value in advance. You can also explore third-party platforms like Cashify to compare deals and potentially get a better offer for your old device.
The iPhone 16e offer from Redington is valid across all its stores nationwide. The company has confirmed that sales for the iPhone 16e will begin at 8 AM on Friday, February 28, at all Redington retail locations.
The iPhone 16e is available in three storage variants:
The iPhone 16e features a 6.1-inch OLED display and retains the classic iPhone notch, which houses the Face ID system. One notable design change is the replacement of the mute toggle with the new Action Button, allowing for customizable shortcuts. Additionally, Apple has switched from the Lightning port to USB-C, aligning with the latest iPhone lineup.
Like the rest of the iPhone 16 series, the iPhone 16e is powered by the A18 chip, enabling Apple Intelligence features such as Genmoji, Writing Tools, and ChatGPT integration. Apple has also confirmed that Visual Intelligence support will be added soon. While the A18 chipset suggested the presence of 8GB RAM—the minimum requirement for Apple Intelligence—the company did not confirm this at launch. However, benchmark tests have now verified that the device indeed comes with 8GB RAM.
The iPhone 16e sees a significant improvement in its camera system. It now features a 48-megapixel Fusion rear camera, similar to the iPhone 16’s sensor, but slightly smaller. The camera supports 2x Telephoto (digital) zoom and includes features like Portrait Mode, Night Mode, and HDR. On the front, the device is equipped with a 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera with autofocus. For video recording, the iPhone 16e supports 4K recording at up to 60fps, ensuring high-quality footage.
