Xiaomi launches Mijia Smart Curtain 3 Pro with quiet motors & independent left-right control

Xiaomi has introduced its Mijia Smart Curtain 3 Pro through a crowdfunding campaign on Youpin, priced at 799 yuan (approximately $116). The smart curtain solution offers independent left and right-side control, enabling users to fine-tune natural light entry and maintain better privacy within indoor spaces.

Mijia Smart Curtain 3 Pro Specifications

Xiaomi has integrated a dual-drive mechanism into the curtain system, powered by two DC brushless motors. Each motor generates up to 1.2 Nm of torque, allowing the setup to support curtains weighing as much as 60 kg. The system is designed for quiet performance, with noise levels staying below 30 dB during regular operation and dropping to under 26 dB when only one motor is in use.

The system offers independently adjustable panels on both sides, giving users greater flexibility to manage natural light—whether allowing sunlight in or reducing glare when needed. It is built with a durable dual-layer reinforced aluminum alloy track, complemented by high-elastic, rubber-coated rollers that ensure smoother and quieter operation.

The Mijia Smart Curtain 3 Pro supports a wide range of control methods, including voice commands, the Mi Home app, a remote controller, and even manual operation by pulling the curtain. With its built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, users can conveniently manage the system remotely, ensuring access even when they are not at home.

The device also offers advanced customization features, such as setting preferred opening positions, adjusting operating speeds between 10% and 100%, and enabling a wake-up mode that gradually opens the curtains to simulate natural morning light. Additionally, it incorporates a soft start and stop function for smoother and more refined movement.

Designed to work seamlessly within Xiaomi’s smart home ecosystem, the curtain system can be integrated into automated scenarios like movie mode or sleep mode for enhanced convenience.

Separately, Xiaomi has also expanded its product lineup with the launch of new budget-friendly refrigerators, including a 186L double-door model and a 216L triple-door variant.
