Lenovo ThinkBook 14x Features and Specifications
14-Inch 2.8K OLED Display With a 120Hz Refresh Rate
One of the biggest highlights of the Lenovo ThinkBook 14x is its 14-inch OLED display. The panel offers a 2.8K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering sharp visuals and smoother scrolling compared with conventional 60Hz displays.
The display also supports up to 500 nits of peak brightness and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 and sRGB colour gamuts. These specifications make it suitable for everyday office work, watching videos, editing images and other colour-sensitive tasks.
Its 16:10 aspect ratio provides additional vertical workspace compared with traditional 16:9 laptop displays. This can be particularly helpful when working with documents, spreadsheets, websites and multiple applications.
Lenovo has also included Eyesafe Certification 2.0, a feature intended to help reduce exposure to potentially uncomfortable blue-light emissions. This may improve viewing comfort during extended working sessions, although it does not eliminate eye strain entirely.
Intel Core Ultra Series 2 Processors and Copilot+ PC Features
The ThinkBook 14x is powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors, bringing modern computing capabilities to Lenovo’s lightweight laptop lineup.
The processor platform is designed to support everyday productivity, multitasking and demanding applications. Depending on the selected configuration and workload, users can expect to handle tasks such as working with multiple browser tabs, preparing presentations, editing documents and participating in video conferences.
The laptop is also positioned as a Copilot+ PC, placing it in Microsoft’s category of AI-capable Windows computers that meet specific hardware and platform requirements.
For users, AI-focused PC capabilities can support compatible productivity and creative workflows. However, the availability and performance of individual AI features depend on the hardware configuration, software version, region and application support.
Lightweight Aluminium Design for Professionals on the Go
Portability is another major selling point of the Lenovo ThinkBook 14x. The laptop weighs less than 990 grams and measures just 12.9mm in thickness, making it a practical option for people who regularly carry their computers between different locations.
Its all-aluminium chassis gives the device a premium appearance while helping maintain a slim and lightweight form factor.
The laptop is designed for professionals who travel frequently, attend meetings or work in hybrid environments. Its compact dimensions should also make it easier to fit into most laptop bags and backpacks.
Despite its lightweight construction, Lenovo states that the ThinkBook 14x has passed MIL-STD-810H durability testing. This certification relates to environmental and durability tests, but it should not be interpreted as a guarantee that the laptop is immune to accidental damage.
Wi-Fi 7 and Multiple Connectivity Options
The Lenovo ThinkBook 14x includes Wi-Fi 7 support for compatible wireless networks. Wi-Fi 7 can deliver higher potential throughput and improved network efficiency under suitable conditions, although actual performance depends on the router, network environment and internet connection.
The laptop also offers a selection of physical ports to connect peripherals and external displays without relying entirely on adapters.
Its connectivity options include:
- Two USB-C ports
- Two USB-A ports with always-on charging support
- One HDMI port
The USB-A ports can be useful for connecting conventional accessories such as mice, keyboards and USB drives. The HDMI port provides a straightforward way to connect a compatible external monitor or projector.
The combination of wireless and wired connectivity makes the laptop suitable for office desks, meeting rooms and mobile working setups.
Dual SSD Slots for Storage Expansion
Another useful feature of the ThinkBook 14x is its two SSD slots. This design provides the potential for additional internal storage, depending on the supported drive types, configurations and upgrade restrictions.
For professionals who work with large documents, media files, project folders or other storage-intensive content, expandable storage can be an important advantage.
However, buyers should verify the supported SSD specifications, available slot configuration and upgrade procedure before purchasing an additional drive. Storage expansion may also depend on the configuration supplied with the laptop.
Backlit Keyboard, Glass Touchpad and Smart Features
Lenovo has included several usability features intended to make everyday work more convenient.
The backlit keyboard helps users type in dimly lit environments, while the wider glass touchpad provides additional space for cursor movement and gesture controls.
The ThinkBook 14x also supports Lenovo Smart Connect, which is designed to improve connectivity and interaction between compatible devices. Depending on device compatibility and software support, such integration can help users manage certain cross-device tasks more conveniently.
Additional intelligent features include automatic keyboard illumination adjustment and privacy-oriented screen-blurring functions. These features are designed to improve convenience when working away from a conventional office environment.
The availability and behaviour of individual functions may vary by configuration, software version and supported hardware.
Battery Life and Everyday Productivity
Lenovo positions the ThinkBook 14x as a laptop designed to support productivity throughout the working day. Its lightweight construction and portable form factor make it suitable for users who need to work while travelling or moving between meetings.
However, the actual battery runtime will depend on factors such as screen brightness, workload, wireless connectivity, power settings and the selected configuration. Since a specific battery capacity and standardised runtime figure have not been provided here, buyers should consult Lenovo’s official product specifications for verified battery information.
Lenovo ThinkBook 14x: Who Should Buy It?
The Lenovo ThinkBook 14x may appeal to several types of users.
Business professionals: Its lightweight design, premium display and modern connectivity options make it worth considering for office work, presentations and frequent travel.
Students: The compact form factor and high-resolution display can be useful for studying, research, writing assignments and attending online classes.
Content creators: The OLED panel’s stated colour coverage may appeal to users who edit photographs or create digital content. However, those working with demanding video-editing or 3D workloads should carefully check the processor, graphics capabilities, RAM and storage configuration before buying.
Hybrid workers: Users who regularly switch between home, office and travel environments may appreciate the combination of portability, connectivity and productivity-focused features.
The laptop’s suitability ultimately depends on the selected configuration and the type of applications a buyer plans to run.
Lenovo ThinkBook 14x: Should You Buy It?
The Lenovo ThinkBook 14x brings together several features that matter in a premium ultraportable laptop: Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors, a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate, Wi-Fi 7 and a lightweight aluminium chassis.
Its sub-990-gram weight is particularly notable for professionals who prioritise portability. The inclusion of multiple ports, two SSD slots and durability certification also adds practical value beyond its slim design.
However, its starting price of ₹1,08,990 places it in a segment where buyers should compare processor configurations, memory, storage, battery performance and warranty coverage before making a decision.
Overall, the Lenovo ThinkBook 14x looks like a promising option for professionals and students seeking a premium, lightweight laptop for productivity and everyday computing. Its final value will depend on the configuration available at the time of purchase and how well it matches the buyer’s workload.
