Performance is expected to be one of the biggest selling points of the POCO F9 lineup.
The premium POCO F9 Ultra will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the POCO F9 Pro is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series platform.
These processors are designed for demanding tasks such as:

POCO has traditionally targeted users looking for maximum performance at competitive prices, and the F9 series appears to continue that strategy.
Up to 185Hz AMOLED Display Designed for Gaming
One of the most interesting features confirmed for the POCO F9 series is the ultra-fast AMOLED display with support for up to a 185Hz refresh rate.
High refresh-rate displays can provide smoother animations and improved responsiveness, particularly while playing compatible games.
POCO claims that the display can support up to a 185FPS gaming experience in selected titles under internal testing conditions.
However, the company also notes that real-world performance may vary depending on several factors, including:
- Game compatibility
- Graphics settings
- Software version

- Device temperature
Therefore, users should not expect every mobile game to automatically run at 185FPS.
Still, the inclusion of such a high refresh rate could make the POCO F9 series particularly attractive to competitive mobile gamers.

Battery capacity is another major highlight of the upcoming flagship.
The POCO F9 Ultra will feature an enormous 8,050mAh battery, making it one of the most significant battery upgrades in the company’s premium smartphone lineup.
Large batteries are especially useful for users who frequently:

Bose-Tuned Audio and Independent Subwoofer
POCO is also focusing heavily on audio performance with its new flagship.
The POCO F9 series will feature Sound by Bose branding and symmetrical stereo speakers. However, the premium F9 Ultra is expected to receive an additional hardware advantage in the form of an independent subwoofer.
This could potentially deliver improved bass and a more immersive audio experience while:

- Listening to music
The independent subwoofer is currently one of the features that differentiates the F9 Ultra from the standard Pro model.

What Should Buyers Expect From the POCO F9 Series?
The upcoming POCO F9 series appears to focus on four major areas:

The series combines powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 family processors with an ultra-fast AMOLED display capable of reaching up to 185Hz. Meanwhile, the POCO F9 Ultra takes things further with its huge 8,050mAh battery, 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and a Bose-powered audio system featuring an independent subwoofer.
The leaked Philippines pricing provides an early indication of where the devices could sit in the market, but those figures should be treated with caution until POCO makes its official announcement.
